ISPW Review Process

  • The review process will be divided into two phases.  Phase 1 is the screening process that all workshop summaries and oral/poster abstracts will be checked for accuracy in terms of structures and formats.  If any piece of work is incorrect, it will be returned to the corresponding author for minor or major alterations and resubmit within a period of time specified.
  • In Phase 2, at least two reviewers of the selection panel will evaluate the abstract on a non-blind basis.  They will answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ against the items in the ISPW Quality Checklist.  When a negative answer is given, a succinct comment will be made to support the objection.  All reviewers will also consider any possibilities of improving the abstracts or summaries in order to get accepted.  The Chair of the panel will gather all comments or feedback from reviewers.  Accepted workshops or abstracts will be numbered and assigned to an appropriate session based on topic areas.
  • Authors will be notified of the panel’s decision by May 1, 2012.
